Megahouse 1/8 scale figure of Clare from Claymore, a dark fantasy manga series by Norihiro Yagi. Claymore, female warriors named for the sword they carry, travel from village to village to destroy “Yoma”, demons who consume humans as prey and are almost impossible to kill. Claymore are half-humans, half-demons who willingly transformed themselves by mixing their blood with monster’s blood.
Clare, the series’ protagonist, is a distant and quiet Claymore, but occasionally shows an impulsive side. After one of her assignments, she picks up a boy called Raki, who was exiled from his village. Raki gradually manages to break through her shell and they become friends. Clare is ranked #47 of the Claymore, the last and therefore weakest of all. Over the course of the series, she grows in power.

A 1/10 scale polystone statue by Art of War. This is the non bloody version of Guts: Lost Children, a character from Berserk. I took the picture on low light setting and slow shutter speed, giving it that shiny looking and have the color richly burned. The statue itself looks majestic and the base is pretty heavy giving the statue a solid feeling build. Overall I like. (click image for full view)

New Camera
I get new cam today, Canon G9. It’s shiny and image is super excellent. I took a couple pic test runs, below is one of the image sample. Presenting super COOL Kamen Riders:
New DSL
Recently, Having found out that I could get a 6.0Mbps DSL for a mere extra $10 a month. I requested my ISP to upgrade my DSL Deal, which was 1.5Mbps plan. I was told by their live support that the upgrade request would take 3-5 business days to go through. Today my request went through and I find out that the extra cost wasn’t $10 more, but $15 more instead. I suppose that is okay, but I shall complain at a later date. Meanwhile how much of a real world speed upgrade I get from the regular 1.5Mbps? Speedtest from www.dslreports.com: I was getting a high 1100ish to a low 1200ish Kbps downstream previously with the 1.5Mbps plan, with a shameful not so mighty 250ish Kbps upstream on the side. Now with the 6.0Mbps Plan, I’m getting a 4100ish Kbps downstream which is much lower than my expectation (I was hoping a 5500ish and much closer to the 6K zone) and a not so mighty but much better 600ish Kbps upstream. This lead me to a mixed feeling, not getting what I expected is quite a low blow. On the BRIGHT side, about 50% more of what I paid before, I’m still getting 300% (instead of the expected 400%) speed upgrade. All things considered I like to think that I still get more pros than cons on the upgrade.
Air Guitar World Championships
People pretending good on guitar aka AIR GUITAR can be be on TV and be all cool like a star. Here is Air Guitar World Championships 2007 Ochi “Dainoji” Yosuke from Japan playing at the finals in Oulu, Finland! The championships came to a glittering end when last year’s champ Ochi “Dainoji” Yosuke was crowned victorious for the second year in a row.
